Moonlight and Fine Dining at Broussard’s

New Orleans Nightlife

Ever since 1920 when Broussard’s first threw open the doors of its opulent premises, this Grande Dame of New Orleans dining has been thrilling the public with classic and inventive Creole cuisine.

A recent themed dinner under the stars was no exception.  To celebrate its 100-year history, executive chef Jimi Setchim created a menu that harkened back to the Great Gatsby era of the Roaring 20s with fabulous gin cocktails to accompany every course, oysters on the half shell, whole stuffed rainbow trout, and a simply divine citrus spice cake with lavender & goat cheese ice cream, winter honey, and creole pecans.

Moonlight, palm trees, and the French Quarter’s oldest wisteria vine cast their spell over the flagstone patio as guests savored every delectable bite.

Broussard’s Dinner and Cocktails Through the Decades series will continue on the second Wednesday evening of every month.  Coming soon – the 1930s on April 14 featuring the Dorothy Lamour rum cocktail, the 1940s on May 12 with the Isadora Duncan bourbon cocktail, and the 1950s with the Big Hopper on June 9.

Enjoy the delicate aroma of wisteria as you dine under the stars on Broussard’s elegant patio. Or dine indoors and choose from French and New Orleans classic dishes as well as Chef Jimi’s original creations. An extensive wine list too!
