Tulane Move-In Guide for Parents, Fall Semester 2021
Tulane move-in is August 15 – 18, 2021 for first-year students and students new to Tulane. The University provides an approximately 12’ x 15’ room, MicroFridge, a single XL bed, a desk, and a chair. Space is limited, so coordinate with the roommate, if possible, to avoid duplicating shareable items, like TVs, air purifiers, dishes, and utensils.
Things to bring…
- Twin XL sheets
- Twin sheets for Sharp Hall
- Mattress pad
- Towels
- Pillows and blankets
- Clothing
- Hangers and organizers
- Computer
- Single-bulb lamps (LED bulbs preferred)
- Ethernet cable
- Room decor
- Shower footwear or flip-flops
Don’t bring…
- Refrigerators / Microwaves (MicroFridge is provided)
- Amplified sound systems
- Cooking appliances
- Weapons (or ammunition)
- Candles, incense, etc.
- Drugs and illegal substances
- Alcohol
- Halogen / multi-bulb lamps
- Air conditioners
- Hookahs or other smoking devices
- Pets that aren’t fish
- Nails / screws
- Waterbeds
